Disappointed with the lids. First time trying to use it, the lid wouldn’t snap in place. The sides of lid would pop off after trying to snap it shut. Returning item.

Holy packaging Batman! I’ve had delicate things arrive with zero protection before and then there’s this set. They may as well have been packing it to ship eggs. Each container was packaged in full bubble wrap, then the whole set was stacked and packed with another layer of foam. No way those would have been broken unless someone ran them over with a tank. Not that they really needed that level of protection. The glass part of the container is very thick and durable looking.I missed in the listing that these have a vent in the lid. That’s huge for me. Many container lids can’t even be microwaved, but this one says it can and the lid is built in so you don’t have to find another cover or try to balance the open lid on top when you reheat something. Saves a ton of cleanup time.The compartments are a bit small, but that’s probably for the best. They look like they’re appropriate serving sizes for most things. My only real “issue” with these is sometimes I have a bit of a hard time getting the lid centered so it seals properly. That’s more user error than a problem with the containers. The lid has to be just right for the flaps to snap down all the way. I probably wouldn’t pack soup in it anyway since the compartments are on the smaller side. It’s awesome for dishes you’d eat with rice or to pack a small salad with bits you want to wait on mixing until you eat it.The bonus for me is the flatware. My husband either scrambles for plasticware at lunch, or he takes the “house” flatware with him to work and inevitably things go missing. The set that comes with this is a bit small – like playschool’s my first silverware – but it’s perfect for carrying in a lunchbox. It’s nice to have a dedicated set of utensils.Overall great addition to the lunch toolkit.
