Absolutely love this scale. It’s heavy duty and will allow my small business to grow. Multiple uses (functions) whether its for baking, cooking or just simply shipping. It’s as simple as that. The size allows for small to large sizes. Price was perfect. Easy to use.

This set of digital scales has more functions that I actually need it for, including a price setting and the option to select the number of pieces being weighed. I am just using it in my kitchen to replace my old, basic scales.The scales come with batteries supplied but also has a charging cable and can also be charged through a DC charging socket – but I think I’ll stick to batteries.The buttons are easy to see and use and make a nice clear beeping sound when pressed – although I think I saw in the instructions that the beeping can be turned off if wanted, I think it’s a useful feature.The weight units can be cycled through kg, grams, ounces and lbs and obligatory tare function to reset to zero, with or without something already sitting on the main weighing surface.It does have a relatively large footprint on my work surface but given I couldn’t fit my largest mixing bowl or saucepan on my old scales, this is great. Definitely recommended.

The ‘ATOGOU Commercial 30kg Large Digital Kitchen Scale 1g with Price Computing, Stainless Steel Scale’ are an extremely well made and attractive looking set of scales.The blue sheet should be peeled off to reveal a stainless steel plate, however my wife is a clean freak and leaves that sort of stuff on as long as possible.In use they are pretty intuitive for basic use, and a set of instructions is included if you require the more advanced functions. Comparing to my smaller set of kitchen scales the accuracy was close (if not quite perfect). The display is extremely clear.At a price of £29.99 less a 15% voucher these will definitely suit someone who sells on selling sites and needs to weigh parcels.

The scales arrive with an instruction leaflet and a USB cable (no plug). There isn’t much need for the instruction leaflet because these are easy enough and intuitive to figure out.I was perplexed by the USB until I also spotted the battery compartment where I found 2*AAA batteries awaiting activation. I then tested with a 2kg supermarket bag of potatoes. As you can see, the weight was as expected. Not including a plug adapter keeps costs down, I guess, especially as it would appear these scales use around 3V-3.3V to operate.I held one side of the weighing platter with a firmer grip than the other and found that the pan was easy to dislodge. This was an accidental discovery (I wasn’t gripping hard) when I held it one-handed whilst hunting for a USB plug that I didn’t need in the end (see above).The light weight of this unit suggests it is more housing than circuitry – which is not an issue apart from they are easy to shift on a worktop accidentally. A little weighting in the base by the manufacturer would prevent this from happening.As budget, large form scales, these are richly featured enough to satisfy home or hobby chefs, for example, who want to know not just the weight but also how much the costs are per portion. Being large form though, they do take up space in storage and in use.
