SLS-Free Cream Cleanser & No Paraben & Phthalates
This is a thick white non-soapy, non-foaming cream cleanser that comes in a tube. So, just a heads up if suds or lather is what you would rather prefer. It is mainly natural ingredients, leaping bunny certified (meaning it is cruelty-free) & responsible resourcing-it states all that on the back of the tube. My skin gets more reactive especially in winter with dry indoor heating and cold outdoor winds. I need a cleanser that is fragrance-free and isn’t foaming so it doesn’t strip my skin of moisture or make it rough. I have mature older type skin and no difficulties with this but very oily skinned or acne-prone might require/need something else-remember if it is lather you want this doesn’t foam, it is cream based.. And, if you are new to a product or have sensitive or rosacea skin it might be prudent to test it out slowly to see how your skin adjusts and/or reacts and heed your skin’s response. And it also states “on the tube” to avoid contact with eye area but then “any” soap, cleanser and/or shampoo, with the exception of baby shampoo maybe, could sting if you get it in the eyes. I use eye-makeup remover specifically made for that purpose to cut-down on irritation. This cleanser contains aloe which adds some moisturizing properties. If I am wearing transfer resistant long-wearing makeup I remove it first with micellar water or a makeup remover tissue. That way I don’t have a lot of gunky makeup on my face mixed in with cleanser that doesn’t always rinse off that well (it’s not exactly a makeup remover that’s why I use something else first to remove makeup prior to cleansing). Then I dampen my face first and apply a small amount of cleanser to clean my face working it in circular motions with my fingertips. The cleanser is rather thick but I have found removing it with a damp washcloth works well. I allow my face to dry then apply treatment or moisturizer (always use sunscreen during the day). For someone that had former skin issues my skin looks better and gets noticed. It is an economical way to keep my face clean and there are no parabens or phthalates in this cleanser either. I wouldn’t use a highly foaming cleanser or something with salicylic acid because it doesn’t suit my skin type but I use this because quite simply it did the job. And even if it wasn’t a go to for me there are others for who it might be.

Helps acne
This face wash is great and so gentle. I’ve had acne for 10+ years and use this once a day in the shower and my acne is very minimal. Not saying it’s because of this soap but I think it definitely helps. Very mild smell also, not too strong.

It takes me a very long time to decide on products especially skin care. It takes day, research, reviews, comparison and youtube videos. I have tried cerave, ponds, Cetaphil ponds vani cream and others. I have sensitive skin so my options are limited. So far of vanicream was the best but in the winter it left my skin red and itchy. I have oily skin in the summer and I’m learning that I have combination skin in the winter so the other products didn’t work for me anymore. They were too thin and watery. My skin never felt clean. I’ve only used this for a few days but so far by feel alone I love it. The downside is that it smells like glue but the scent is not strong or offensive. Its to be expected with a semi natural product. But it is nice and smooth not too thick or too thin like the vanicream and cetaphil. It took off makeup a lot better than the others as well. Did not have to double cleanse. I also like the moisturizing effect. My skin feels clea and not heavy. It takes time to see how my skin adjusts to new products so I will give it some time before I make a follow-up review but so far I give it 4 stars. Great price as well especially because u really only need a pea sized amount. I normally ignore products that say that but its very true with this one. It will last me a long time.

Been using this cleanser for years and I love it. I have normal to dry skin and it can be a little fragile. This is so creamy and moisturizing and has a barely noticeable scent, which I really like. I use it just about every day and have no complaints. I use a washcloth so I do have to be sure to scrub it off of the washcloth, otherwise it leaves stains on my washcloths, but it’s been like that with other face washes too. Just scrub the washcloth under running water a bit and you’re good. It can be hard to tell for sure, but I really do feel like it brightens the appearance of the skin on my face. No heat like other face washes can be either, just super creamy and gentle.

In short – I love Burts Bee’s and I really wanted this to be the skincare set for me… but it flared my acne.Read for more details if interested…I am a 29-year old female with acne-prone sensitive skin. I treat my acne with differin, so I was looking for a routine to help sooth my skin and replenish my moisture barrier. I decided to give this line a try – I purchased the cleanser and both moisturizers. These are lovely for sensitive skin. The cleanser is gentle and non-drying, the moisturizers are light yet hydrating – and totally non-irritating! Many moisturizers – Vanicream, CeraVe, Neutrogena, the works – cause my skin to become red and stingy. This doesn’t!But…After about a week of consistent use (while still using differin), I noticed blocked pores, whiteheads, and eventually cystic zits. I ended up having the biggest breakout in the months since starting differin. These products contain coconut oil, which aggravate acne in some people. In addittion, I believe the cleanser wasn’t cleansing effectively enough for my skin type.I switched back to my simple routine with differin products and my skin has begun to clear.To conclude – great product for sensitive and dry skin, but not great for acne.

I absolutely love the way this feels on my face. It’s light weight and doesn’t have a strong cleanser smell. Something I also appreciate is when my face gets sunburnt, this product doesn’t burn! The aloe is soothing and I feel very fresh after using it. Will definitely purchase again.

Meine Haut ist von Natur aus sehr empfindlich und neigt zu jedem Makel den man haben kann… fettig/trocken/grobporig/mega empfindlich. Ganz tolle Mischung. Ich habe die Reinigungslotion aus Neugier wegen der anderen guten Rezensionen bestellt und wurde nicht enttäuscht. Meine Haut ist nach der Reinigung nicht irritiert oder ausgetrocknet, sie fühlt sich einfach sauber und rein an. Ich wage zu behaupten, wenn ich die Lotion vertrage, verträgt sie jeder…da meine Haut die Weltmeisterschaft der zickigsten Haut wohl leider gewinne möchte. Der Preis ist natürlich eher im mittleren Segment anzusiedeln, aber, es geht um meine Gesichtshaut und wenn ich gute Qualität für mein Ged bekomme, was hier der Fall ist, habe ich kein Problem etwas mehr zu zahlen. Alle Inhaltsstoffe sind soweit ok und ich finde die Lotion recht ergiebig. Für trockene, unreine, empfindliche, schnell nachfettende Haut zu empfehlen. Ich werde dabei bleiben und sobald meine Gesichtscreme leer ist auch die Creme der Serie testen. 5 Sterne.

En general mi piel del rostro se irrita fácilmente, he usado varios limpiadores faciales y casi todos me han irritado. Probé los de Aloe Vera de The BodyShop y si bien no me irritaban, sí me secaban el rostro. La crema limpiadora de Burts Bees es bastante suave y no sólo no me ha secado la piel del rostro, también la noto más suave o tersa, más jugosa sin llegar a ser grasa (y eso que mi piel es grasa). El cambio lo noté como al mes de usarlo. Tiene una consistencia de crema, no hace espuma, por lo que al principio cuesta acostumbrarse, pero nada del otro mundo. Pienso usarla con un cepillito facial para limpiar un poco más mi rostro, aunque solo será para probar.
