We keep our house pretty cool in the winter, so my morning mug of tea gets cold really fast in the ceramic mug I like. After leaving my mug in the microwave oven several times in a week, I decided to get an insulated mug and went to Amazon to comparison shop. I also compared reviews and mug covers, as there are a number of vendors selling this particular mug. I like the barrel shape, and I was fine with the mug being lightweight. OK Premium had a good price for a set of two and qualified for Prime shipping, so I took the plunge and purchased a set.My mugs arrived super fast, and I have been using one every morning since then. The outsideof the mug is never more than lukewarm to the touch, the handle is cool, and my tea is steaming hot. I choose not to use the cover, but I did test it for leakability. As long as the cover was on properly and the drinking and vent holes were completely closed, I could turn it upside down and have no leaking.Because I’m used to using a mug that gets hot to the touch, I have to remind myself that the tea is much, much hotter than this mug. It’s not the same experience as my ceramic mug because it can’t be, but the upside is that I can drink all of my tea while it is nice and warm and I no longer have to get up to reheat it five times. Drinking my tea doesn’t take as long now because it stays the right temperature – nice!I am using my mug at home, so I don’t have a lot of distractions, but if I were in an office, I might put a warming pad underneath it to help keep my drink warm for a longer period. Warming pad vendors recommend stainless steel cups with flat bottoms for good contact and heat conductivity; this mug has a slightly raised area on the bottom, but I believe contact would be pretty good. The barrel shape of the mug also makes it very stable, which I like.I’ve only been using this mug for about a week, so I can’t speak to its durability, but it seems quite sturdy. Overall, I recommend it, and OK Premium.

Good mugs for the Price
I just used these mugs for 2 days now and they work great at keeping coffee hot for a long time, for the first time i can drink a cup and it staying hot till i finish drinking. The quality is very good and the handle shape and size is perfect for me , however the size is misleading it says 14oz but when i selected a 10oz from my Kurieg coffee maker i could only put 2oz of creamer in and it was almost to the rim and hade to sip some out to put the lid on, other then this i am very pleased with the mugs.

After two years of owning a pair of these insulated stainless steel mugs, they have completely earned my affection!! They are sturdy and very stable coffee mugs made out of metal and are really appealing. These units have held up well. I have two sets of four each of high-quality ceramic mugs that I spent a fair bit of money on, but these two stainless steel insulated mugs are always my go-to mugs every day. I hand-wash and hand polish-dry them, and I use them daily. They are great-looking. They are my favourite mugs that I use every day to the exclusion of all the other high quality ceramic mugs I own. These are truly nice mugs and I am glad I have them.Earlier on when I first bought these, I gave them a nitpicking review, stating that they could’ve performed better in the insulation department. Today, I appreciate them not only for the fact that they do extend the warmth of a cup of coffee over a longer period of time than normal mugs, but they just look great for a guy to be using – they are super-stable and are unlikely to get accidentally tipped over, and they do keep liquids warmer, or liquids colder, longer, depending on your beverage. And they look as good as the day they were taken out of the box, after hundreds of uses. I cannot give them a higher endorsement!! One of life’s best purchases, something I get satisfaction out of every time I use them. You cannot say that about a lot of things! These mugs, you can “take to the bank”, so to speak. They will provide long-term value and satisfaction to one who purchases them. Highly recommended and good job on the manufacturer’s part.

I read a lot of the other reviews prior to purchasing this product. Seemed very mixed with some not happy about how long drinks stayed hot, others were happy. I went ahead with the purchase anyway and it is perfect for me. It keeps my hot drinks so hot initially I have to remember to let it cool a little. Then it keeps them at a drinkable temperature for an hour or more. This is great in my work environment when I am often interrupted and previously by the time I got back to my drink it was cold. Lid is great and makes it safer carrying a hot drink in an office environment. I was so pleased I bought another set for home. As a bonus, comes with a 5-year warrantee from manufacturer.

Great insulated mug for the price. These are half the cost of YETI’s and as far as I can tell their quality and performance is very similar. The lid isn’t leak proof, like others have said, but keeps most of the liquid inside when you would have spilled a regular mug. The lid swivels so the drinking hole can either be left open or closed. I find it also helps keep the liquid warm much longer so I close the opening between sips and it stays hot until my last sip. Highly recommend.
