My first gun powder green tea
Love the tea and the price was good as well. I wanted to stop using tea bags and try a loose-leaf tea, and this one did not disappoint with taste and aroma.

High quality benefits of Green Tea without “smelling” pure green tea
I really like the flavor and aroma of this Garden Green Tea.It does not have that “greenish” smell of real green tea.I’m not a fan of “pure” green tea; therefore, if I can get the BENEFITS of Green Tea and not “smell” it – I’m Happy. It’s a really good quality tea and, by tasting other teas from the same company, I know that I can truly trust Davidson’s company!Plus, the tea is ORGANIC!

Excellent value – can’t tell the difference from premium brands
I switched to Davidson’s Tea Bulk Genmaicha from Harney & Sons, and I honestly can’t tell the difference in quality or taste. At $0.87 per ounce compared to Harney & Sons at $1.95 per ounce, this is incredible value for the same great flavor.I’ve repurchased this several times now, which speaks to how satisfied I am with the quality and consistency. I usually mix two heaping tablespoons of the genmaicha with a heaping tablespoon of Assam to make a pitcher of iced tea, and it creates a perfect blend every time. The 16-ounce bag is a great size for regular tea drinkers, and the bulk packaging keeps costs down without sacrificing freshness. For anyone looking for quality genmaicha at a fraction of the cost of premium brands, this is an excellent choice. I’m definitely sticking with Davidson’s going forward.

    Good size great price
Decent tea. Arrived fresh but lacked potency. 4 stars because it is the best price around and it is organic apparently. The aroma is quite strong but the taste lacks.

The Alpha Green Tea – all others bend the knee
BEST DAMNED GREEN TEA SOLD.I’ve sampled a lot of green tea.And this is the best. Rich body, great color, not bitter and an amazing taste. The grocery store stuff has a tendency to be weak, and you have to use a lot of it to get a strong tea. This stuff is amazing.

    Quality tea
Very rare and quality tea (unlike most teas of this brand). The main trick is not over-steep it. Use water under boiling (as for oolong tea) and brew 2-3 minutes – this will give you a very nice light evening tea with flowery aroma and mild taste. Later I do second brew for much longer (~10 minutes) and it makes a good darker morning tea with a “kick”. The main problem with this tea is that if brewed for long, it will make it bitter, so the bad reviews.Currently it is no longer available, but I hope that Davidson’s will be carrying yellow teas in the future.

  7. Telling it like it is

Super new to drinking tea, but this stuff is great!
I am new to drinking tea, I won’t lie. And the only other tea I’ve tried was a Rooibos Green Tea that was in much smaller particles. While I liked the taste, I didn’t notice any effects on my energy levels or overall health. When that ran out, I decided to try a different brand and settled on this due to the price per ounce and the overwhelmingly popular reviews. I can definitely see why people like this so much! The biggest difference I’ve noticed in this is the size of the particles. This is tightly rolled “pellets” according to the listing, which will definitely explain why it expands so much while brewing. I can put a teaspoon of dry tea in the infuser and when I’m ready to drink it, it has expanded to 4 or 5 times that amount in wet leaves. So this is great if you have an infuser that allows it to uncurl properly, but if theres not enough room, I’m not sure if it will brew properly. I’m honestly not sure how this works.I have also noticed a huge difference in the energy levels this gives me. I have completely stopped drinking coffee and switched to this. I have more energy, it goes down easier, I don’t get that gross sweaty feeling that coffee gives me, and I just feel “cleaner” overall. I am officially a fan of Green Tea!I did not like the taste at first as it was much more bitter than the kind I had been drinking, but I’ve found that if I add a small amount of high quality honey into it, it brings it down a notch and I really enjoy it. I’m incredibly happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend it!Almost forgot to say that it would be a good idea to find a good airtight container to store most of this until you need it. I’ve moved about 2/3 of this bag into a container to keep it from going stale or losing nutrients. Its a big bag.
