First cup ever, so I have no comparison…
I’ve been considering this for a while. I have only heard of these fairly recently, and it already seemed right up my alley. I’m very minimalist and very anti-waste. I got the larger size because I’m 30, have 2 children and I’m quite tall. It took me until my third day of my first cycle to figure out how to put it in correctly with it popping open quickly each time. I didn’t give up, though. Just like breastfeeding, the best things we can do for our bodies takes practice. By the time I figured out my own way (Not at all like I’ve read, I just kinda had to find the perfect position for my body in order to have the easiest application) I was in love. I’m a very active person, always swimming, running or playing with my kids. I don’t have to worry about leaks or carrying a bunch of supplies with me. I bought some towelettes to clean it if I have the misfortune of having to empty it in a public restroom. Other than that, I carry nothing and need nothing apart from soap, water a heat source and its convenient storage pouch. I’m not leaving behind a bunch of bloody cotton anymore! Everything about this is convenient, cost effective and way better for the environment. I might get more so I have a better frame of reference for this specific brand. So far, I like the color choices. I heard cups in general stain, and I love the color red anyway, so I got the red one. It seems to be on the “soft” side, but I run it under cold water for a minute to stiffen the silicone if I have a hard time making them pop open. It works. If this is your first cup, do some research and figure out what works for you. Get personal with your body and it will be well worth it.

Awesome
So I am not a long time period cup user only since last may. This is the second cup I have tried and I like it way more than the Venus cup which was my old one! With my Venus cup I always had problems getting it to suction properly, I would have to twist and wiggle and even take it out and re insert sometimes to get it to stick but so far I have absolutely no problems getting my dutchess cup to suction! I ordered large because I have had a child and have a very heavy flow for 2 days on my period. With the large Venus cup I liked it a lot better than pads or tampons but I always felt the bottom of the cup sit weird on me. The bottom of the venus cup is a lot more rounded than the dutchess cup so I have a feeling that is why the dutchess cup fits and feels better.Overall I am very happy with the dutchess cup! If I ever need a replacement cup soon I would definitely reorder 👍🏻

This is a wonderful product
My period has always been very heavy. This allowed me to go 2 hours without having to go to the bathroom. Super heavy tampons only last about 45 minutes for me. So this is a life saver!

Don’t order too large
Ok, I have a very heavy flow (no kids). I thought I would be clever and order the larger one. For as heavy as my flow is? After 8 cycles I can tell you I never even came close to an over flow issue. The only issue I do have is “fit” when they say “larger” it’s not to catch more liquid – it because of fit! The smaller size provides a much tighter seal and expands properly when inserted. The larger size doesn’t expand properly (there isn’t enough room!) thus it does not seal properly.Read everyone’s recommendations/tips they help e.g. insert it high and pull down just a little to get it to seal, don’t insert it low.

5 stars!
I have a diva cup but i wanted a back up so i just went for price mainly and i am actually totally surprised i love this cup! It does take a little practice to get it to open once inside but once you get it down it’s the best, it’s a lot less stiff then the diva cup which makes it way more comfortable, and i had less cramping with this one as well.

Give it a try but it takes a lot of practice and anxiety… Still learning.
Ok I am a first time user of the menstrual cup. I was excited to try it because I was sold at the idea of not having to buy tampons, not having to worry about chemicals and them being eco friendly. I really, really wanted to like these. I bought the Duchess cup because it was the cheaper than the Diva and I wanted to make sure I liked it before I invested in a more expensive cup. But geez…. Here are my issues: 1. Super hard to insert and get to “pop” open. I don’t want to assume things about other women’s vaginas (I have had 2 kids vaginally and am over 30) but I did not have enough space to “twist 360” without extreme pain. It took me about 30 minutes the first time I tried and I am now on day 3 of my period and it still takes me about 15 minutes to insert (and I’m still not sure its right). 2. The first day of my period it magnified my cramps. I am not sure if thats because I was inserting so many times and failed to get it right but I felt very irritated in my intimate space. 3. Lastly, removing is a huge pain. Even though I am never sure it’s properly inserted it somehow gets sucked up further than I placed it. The stem is hard to reach and slippery as I am pinching at it with my thumb and pointer finger. The first time I thought I was going to have to go to the hospital bc I was panicking and couldn’t reach it after 20 min. My only tip is to relax as much as possible and push like you’re having a baby. LOL. On day 3 it now takes me about 5-10 minutes to get out and a little less anxiety. 4. It did leak on occasion even when the cup wasn’t 1/2 full. I can never tell when it’s going to leak. With tampons, you can kind of tell how often it needs to be changed but this is a little harder. Overall, I will give the duchess cup at least one more cycle before I toss it. I was so excited to love this product because all I hear are rave reviews from women who use them. Maybe my expectations were unrealistic. I will try again because of the pros that it’s eco friendly and I don’t have to hear my husband complain about me flushing my tampons, also I like not having to worry about buying tampons from the store. One more try. Hopefully I’ll get the hang of it.
