Warm, Spicy Comfort Without the Caffeine — Her Favorite Decaf Cinnamon Black Tea
My wife loves this Harney & Sons Decaf Hot Cinnamon Spice tea, and after trying it myself, I can see why. This blend is full of flavor: it uses a base of decaffeinated black tea combined with multiple types of cinnamon, bright orange peel, and sweet cloves.Blend & Aromatics:• The cinnamon comes through strongly, with layers of warmth, spice, and subtle sweetness.• The orange peel adds a citrusy brightness, and the cloves give a gentle, warm note.• The aroma while steeping is inviting and fills the room with cozy cinnamon and clove scents.Texture / Mouthfeel:• The brewed tea is light-bodied but still satisfying, with enough depth in the black tea base to feel robust.Sugar / Sweetness:• There is no added sugar or sweetener.• Despite being unsweetened, the natural flavors of cinnamon, orange, and cloves give a lightly sweet perception.Size / Serving Info:• Each tin contains 20 silken sachets.• Each sachet brews a generous 12 oz cup of tea.• Larger pack sizes are available for frequent drinkers.Value for Money:• The tea is premium quality, and the flavor, aroma, and decaf convenience make it worth every penny.• Considering the richness of the blend and the practicality of sachets, it’s a great investment for anyone who enjoys daily tea rituals. How We Use It:• My wife brews it in the evening so she can enjoy a comforting cup without caffeine.• One sachet steeps for 4–5 minutes in freshly boiled water to bring out the spice and aroma.• On cooler evenings, she sometimes uses two sachets for a stronger cinnamon flavor.Overall Impression:This tea feels like a comforting, spiced dessert in a cup — without any sugar. The blend is thoughtfully crafted, the texture is smooth yet satisfying, and the size makes it practical for regular use. For anyone who loves cinnamon-spice teas, wants to skip caffeine, and values high-quality flavor, this is an excellent choice.

Love at second sight
When I ordered this tea, I was drawn in by the “smoky black tea with vanilla and caramel” description and thought Black Cask Bourbon was a metaphor. At first sniff, I realized it was decidedly NOT metaphorical, and maybe less of my sort of thing than I thought. However, it’s starting to get chilly, and I thought that next time I might try making a “hot teaddy” with honey and a packet of True Lemon & seeing how that turned out.The hot teaddy is a WINNER!I’d put honey in the first cup I made, but adding the lemon was key. It makes for a really lovely flavor that’s…nostalgic? wistful? I’m not really sure how to describe it. But I think it would be really comforting on a day when you’re down in the dumps or otherwise not feeling too great. I went from wondering if I was going to be able to make it through the whole tin to immediately making a second cup. It’s definitely smoky in its own right—I can definitely taste the lapsang souchong—but there’s the added bourbon flavor that certainly smells and tastes boozy. Very literally “what it says on the tin”. If I had read more closely/remembered why I hesitated to order one before, I probably would have skipped it. But now that I’ve doctored it a bit, I’m very glad I didn’t! (The tin itself is GORGEOUS.)Happy steeping!

Smoky and good — just not for me 🙂
Fair warning: this is not a tea for anyone that is sensitive to strong scents. When I opened the package containing this tea and another one I’d ordered, I knew it would be an issue for me. I did try the tea anyway — the smoky notes might overwhelm the actual flavor inside of the tea. At least it did for me.(The package itself was not sealed as Harney teas normally are. – that’s down to Amazon, not the tea.)If you are looking for something vastly different from your usual builders/Lipton tea, then this is for you. The bourbon comes in waves; you taste it at the beginning when you take your sip, and it lasts for a fair amount of time. Take this tea with as little sweetener as possible; you have a better chance of appreciating this tea. I strongly recommend trying it; it’s different, and it’s not Earl Grey or its various iterations.

The Perfect Nighttime Tea for Fall
This tea is the definition of fall in a cup. From the first sip, it brings that warm, cozy feeling of crisp evenings, soft blankets, and quiet moments at home. The blend has just the right balance of spice and smoothness, wrapping you in comfort without being overpowering. It reminds me of the first cool night of the season when you swap your iced drinks for something that soothes the soul. I especially love the decaf version because I can enjoy it before bed, unwind, and fall asleep feeling completely relaxed. It’s cozy, calming, and everything I love about autumn in one cup.

How to simulate bourbon for mocktails
This was recommended as a bourbon substitute for an old-fashioned mocktail. Brewing instructions say to steep 1 sachet in 2 cups of boiling water for 5 minutes. This results in a weak brew. I would recommend using maybe 1.5 cups or less of boiling water. You will also need to add some sugar or honey to simulate the sweetness of bourbon. It is close, with a pleasant smokiness, but it is missing the burn of alcohol. Two drops of a plain habanero extract (Scrappy’s Fire Tincture or homemade) can simulate that burn. Add your bitters, simple syrup, and orange peel and it’s honestly not bad.

Lovely tea doesn’t ship thru amazon so potential for package damage
So yummy!! Would be good with milk, is a sweet nosey strawberry vanilla black tea, definitely not my favorite Harney tea but makes the lower end of the list for sure!! Only thing is this tea specifically doesn’t ship through Amazon so it takes a bit longer and my tin had the most minor dent but it’s a pliable metal so I could bend it back easily. Good tea idk if id buy again but I’m gonna finish the tin I bought and use the tin cuz it’s so cute!!
