The Best Yoga Mat!
Love this yoga mat; thick with slip resistance surface and a great length. Very happy with it and love the purple color. It was well packaged and came quickly. I would highly recommend.

Nice and thick yoga mat
This is a nice and thick – as well as wide – yoga mat. Very comfortable and attractive. The only drawback is it is a bit cumbersome rolling it up.

Great yoga mat in spite of some drawbacks
Like another reviewer, I agree that all yoga mats should come standard in this size (and thickness!) It’s such a joy to practice without having to worry about my heels being on the floor in wide angle seated forward fold or one of my feet not fitting during splits pose like on a regular-sized mat (and I’m only 5’5″). And the thickness makes any pose like boat or something weighted on a single knee a pleasure instead of grinding pain on my tailbone or kneecap. And I love the green color that is more of a spring green instead of the olive/army green in the photo.A few downsides: I’m sensitive to artificial fragrances, so it took three solid weeks of airing out the mat for the smell to be bearable (I had to pull my t-shirt over my nose during child’s pose it was so strong). The surface isn’t as sticky as my old basic Gaiam mat, but is bearable/workable, especially for the benefits of size and comfort. The only real downside I see is that the material is less durable than a basic, traditional yoga mat. After a few months of weekly use, I can see where the heel of my foot has scuffed away at the soft material when sliding into splits pose. Even with these minor downsides, I’m still glad I purchased as each yoga session is such a delight!

Works a little better than most of these mats
Works great for me because it’s a little wider, longer and thicker than most of these mats. I am 5’6” and it provides a few inches for my head and feet.

Cushy!
Very functional yoga mat. I use it for stretching, not for yoga, so I can’t comment on how sticky it is for holding poses. But for doing ab work and stretches while I am on my knees, it is providing adequate cushion.

Perfect for me!
I’m old and everything hurts and I wanted a new yoga mat. The last one I bought went to my daughters house 5 years ago and hasn’t been missed because I’m lazy. But now I’ve reached a point where lazy isn’t an option unless I want to crumble into dust every time I try to squat down. So yoga it is. My husband and I were both able to sit on it and do some breath work and we weren’t crowded. It’s nice and thick so I don’t feel like I’m bone-on-floor. I really love the simplicity of the strap, too. It’s a really solid mat. No horrible smell really either.

Shows dirt very easily!!
Very nice yoga mat. Only complaint is it got dirty on the first day. Everything showed up on it. I ordered the orange, which is a bright peach. Having to return do to showing so much dirt!!

I had a Gaiam yoga mat for almost a year, and it started to pill. I first used it once a day, then began using it twice a day. I realized I needed something at least the same sturdy with more cushioning and a bigger size. I tried the Retrospec Solana because it’s advertised as a thick yoga mat. Yes, it’s thick, but it was almost impossible to keep my balance on it, and it stretched out a lot. I don’t think it’s good for yoga at all.Eventually, I found and ordered the Hatha Yoga Thick TPE Yoga Mat. Here’s what I think:Pros:The mat is thick but still allows for good balance.It’s the perfect size — should be the standard for all yoga mats!Nice color.Seems sturdy; I think it can last a long time (like a year) even with twice daily use.The cushioning is just right for me.The price is reasonable.It sticks to the floor.Cons:The color is not as vibrant as advertised, more like pale purple.The smell stayed for a whole week, and there’s still a faint smell left.The surface is a bit slippery, and my hands slowly slide away when I’m in a downward-facing dog.It’s a bit thinner than advertised.It is stretching a little bit with my weight (70 kg) and might stretch even more if you are heavier.I was looking for so long for a good mat. It seems like there are tons of them available, but it is still hard to find a good one. My conclusion is that for now, I found the best possible.UPD: 9 months later the mat is quite fine, experienced a couple of washes in my washing machine and everyday use.
