perfect for keeping lettuce fresh for a decent amount of time. I bring salads to work for lunch and this works great for having lettuce washed and ready to go. It is very easy to use/clean. the only downside is that the lid doesn’t snap closed in any way, it just goes on and sits on top, so if you put too much product inside the lid won’t stay on all the way.

Works great, but the cover doesn’t close securely.
The cover doesn’t seal or securely stay on the container. Usually covers fit snug and you can easily carry it with one hand without worrying.This cover, even though it is on properly, will flip open if you handle it by the edge of the lid. Several times the lid/cover flipped up and the whole thing, container, cover and lettuce shot out of my hand onto the kitchen floor. I now use both hands and I actively hold it to secure the cover.The container works great. I love how Iit collects more moisture into the bottom and I can empty it as wanted. The vegetable don’t get all wet, nasty or brown as quickly as they do in the original container/bag. It stays fresh for a long time. Usually Romain leaves are tough to keep crispy for a week (for work) and sometimes I won’t get my salad because it got brown or soft.It fits 2 heads of romaine lettuce. (I use a lettuce spinner) nicely.This change the way I store vegetables in my refrigerator. Now I always use these types of containers for berries and loose vegetables. Strawberries, blueberries and lettuce seem to benefit the most.This is a rectangle container with a non locking lid that has a compartment for a moisture eliminating packet. The middle of the lid has a chart for ventilation. Theres a slider to add more air circulation or to close it off.I bought my mom one after using mine for a while. I give four stars because if the cover popping off

This is fabulous! I am able to keep green onions and parsley and mint in my refrigerator for well over a week and it is still quite fresh. I’m very pleased with this and surprised at how well it works. Highly recommend.

9 days of fresh lettuce!
Our family has 6 guinea pigs who share a head of romaine lettuce daily. Last summer we had car issues, resulting in fewer grocery runs. We quickly figured out we needed a way to keep lettuce longer.With little info, we ordered two of these containers. Each came with OXO brand gas absorbing packets. Since we had previously bulk ordered generic 5 gram ethylene gas absorbers, we decided to try two of those in each container. These containers weren’t quite tall each to hold 3 romaine heads each, so we used elastic straps to hold them together. That setup kept lettuce for about 3 days before the heads started to wilt.Since failure was not an option, we were able to cram 6 ethylene absorbers into each container for a total of 30 grams each. That setup kept 3 romaine heads in each container for 9 days, perfectly with no spoilage at all.Since summer ended, our car works fine and regular grocery runs have resumed. But we continue to use these containers daily since they’re so effective at staving off spoilage. We still use 6 ethylene absorbers per container with elastic straps which allows for 3 romaine heads each regardless of size. The lettuce is always fresh here with that setup.Cleanup is almost non-existent. When the container has no veggies, we tilt it to remove excess water.Anyone with guinea pigs or who just needs fresh lettuce would do well getting this. The product isn’t the cheapest but it’s just big enough for 3 romaine heads (with a little effort) while fitting comfortably onto a fridge shelf. Can’t ask for much more.

No Cover Latch
Why did you pick this product vs others?:While I do feel it is keeping my fruit fresh for longer, the thing that bothers me is that the covers don’t latch. At one point I pulled out something else and hit the container, and it fell spilling my berries all over the floor. I personally regret not having noticed that feature before using it. They also take up a good chunk of fridge space.
