Nice and compact scale
I ordered this kitchen scale because I really needed something simple and reliable for cooking and baking, especially on busy days when I’m juggling ingredients with one hand and trying to keep my kids from stealing chocolate chips with the other. This one has been such a good little helper. It’s lightweight, easy to wipe clean, and the stainless surface doesn’t feel flimsy at all.The display is clear and bright, and I love that the buttons respond the way they should without me having to press them multiple times. The weight switches between grams and ounces instantly, and it doesn’t lag or bounce around like some scales I’ve tried in the past. I also really appreciate the higher weight capacity—being able to weigh larger bowls and ingredients without maxing it out makes a big difference for bigger baking days.The tare function is straightforward and actually resets correctly every time, which sounds basic, but apparently isn’t guaranteed with cheaper scales. It stays consistent, and the measurements feel accurate and trustworthy. For something I ordered just hoping it would make things easier, it really has become one of those little tools I reach for constantly.Overall, super easy, dependable, and perfect for everyday kitchen use. The anti-splash design is a lifesaver during baking, keeping messes at bay, and the LCD display is easy to read from a distance. The 17-pound capacity makes this scale impressively robust. I can easily weigh flour for sourdough or large batches of vegetables without worrying about overload, providing great reassurance during my cooking. Using this scale is effortless! The straightforward interface lets me switch between grams and ounces with a button press, making it perfect for all my recipes. I can even manage it easily with messy hands. Cleaning is a easy, just a quick wipe with a damp cloth suffices. The stainless steel prevents stains and odors, so I don’t have to spend time scrubbing off flour. The quality of this scale is outstanding, it’s sturdy and well-built. This scale has endured continuous use without any issues. It’s a steal at this price. Its features and build quality far exceed my expectations, making it hard to find another reliable scale at this value.

Tare function does not work
While this is a nice looking food scale, it doesn’t function properly.Three AAA batteries are required, and they are included. There isn’t an on button, it came on as soon as I removed the plastic tab that was preventing battery contact and it turns off automatically when not in use. Turning it back on was problematic, sometimes it would come back on by pressing the top but usually I had to remove a battery and reinsert to get it to power up.The weight button functions fine, it moves through the various measurements, although at times it requires more than one press to proceed to the next one. I usually measure in grams so once that was set, I tested it with objects I had nearby. It appears to be accurate, which is the reason I’m giving it more than one star. However if you want to use a container, it will not zero out. Pressing the tare button does nothing. The only way to use it then is to measure your container and re-measure when filled with contents, then do the math to subtract the weight of your container from the total. I thought maybe it was the batteries so I inserted fresh ones and that didn’t remedy the issue. Additionally, after it powered off, when it came back on it had a weight higher than zero. I attempted to tare and it stayed, so I removed a battery thinking it would reset. After a minute or so, I put the battery back in and it still did not show zero. Removing the battery again did work to go back to zero, but it clearly has issues. Disappointing- I don’t know if this is simply a single defective unit or a sign of poor quality overall.Note- I did not remove the blue film covering the stainless surface as it was meant to be a gift for my daughter.

This cute little scale ( it’s teal!) is first off, adorable! I have been putting off getting a scale for many years, but some receipes just call for weighing ingredients and so I finally jumped in and got one as I am committing to making more of my own food. The numbers are clear and easy to read , with a nice back light, a nice bonus for my aging eyes. IT comes with a direction booklet to tell me how to tare so no guesswork involved- thank you! It is sleek and modern and takes up literally no space, which is important for me as I have a very small kitchen . It weighs in imperial units as well as metric units, so should cover all of us and easy to toggle back and forth. It takes 2 AAA batteries and is included- good to go from day 1! great little scale right out of the box!
