Using for Acrylic markers!
I actually purchased this journal to use as a sketchbook that will work nicely with Posca pens and acrylic markers with rough textured nibs. Many acrylic marker artists use cardstock instead of regular mixed media paper because it’s smoother and heavier. This way it’s less likely for the markers to scrape up the paper / pill. It’s hard to find a sketchbook that can withstand Posca markers that checks all my boxes but this one does. I think this journal will be perfect! I like the hard cover, lots of pages, and envelope inside as well. Really nice for under 20 bucks.

Great quality
Love this hard covered book. I made mine into a junk journal with mixed media.I definitely recommend this.

The Ranger brand is top notch for so many other products as well….check ’em out!
Have used the Ranger Dylusions creative journals in all their formats for many years. The heavy weight paper, the flat lay, the pocket to save collage pieces or paper memories from travels to enter or include in my artwork …..all of the things!!! I also love the red binding on the interior the elastic closure for the outside and the Kraft paper cover….LOVE IT ALL….!!!!!

My Go-To Sketchbook
I’ve been using Ranger sketchbooks for YEARS and they are hands down the best multimedia sketchbook you could ask for. I’ve made a few scrapbooks for friends and family and have personal sketchbooks.I’ve used watercolors, acrylic, paint markers, alcohol markers, and pens and there is little to no bleed through. The paper is thick and smooth. Great for doing full page spreads. I still have a sketchbook from 5 years ago and even from flipping through it hundreds of times, the pages have remained intact. I love these and recommend them to everyone, even above Strathmore! Worth your money. I love this brand!

This is my third Ranger Creative Journal purchase!
I love the Ranger Dylusions Creative Journals for an assortment of mediums. Originally, I purchased it to use with my acrylic inks and more recently, I purchased it to use for my acrylic and gouche paints. For the acrylic pains, I use a thin layer of Gesso first, then paint with the acrylic. It works great. For the Gouache painting, I just paint directly on the paper. Either way, it works great and I now have three in three different sizes. Very happy with my purchases!

By far my favorite sketchbook!
I love everything about this sketchbook…the size, the pocket inside, the elastic closure and most of all the paper! I am a painter and mixed media artist who abuses this sketchbook with plenty of water, glue, paint and collage materials. The paper is smooth, beige in color and the perfect thickness. It is stitched nicely inside. Well made…I have never had trouble with pages coming out. Paint, markers, etc. do not bleed through. Excellent value for your money!

Supa Dupa Sturdy
The Ranger Dylusions Creative Journal is a well-made journal that holds up surprisingly well, even with heavy use. I’ve been using mine for junk journaling, which involves a lot of thick embellishments, and it’s handling it without issue. It’s sturdy and reliable, making it a great choice for anyone who loves to get creative with their journaling.

Decent sketch book
Wife loves these as sketchbooks. But they seem kinda pricey. Leave it to the artist to justify why
