Works great but doesn’t come with a battery
I have a 2020 Hunter fan. Idk the model but it works with the remote, the app and/or Alexa, well at least it’s supposed to.I will say that the app, and consequently Alexa, work VERY SPORADICALLY (if AT ALL) with it so when I lost the remote, I had basically no control over fan speed or lightning and had to resort to just turning the whole thing off and on at the wall.This remote was a LIFESAVER! It was SUPER EASY to pair with the fan (like 2 minutes).My only complaints were 1- I had to find a tiny screwdriver to remove the screw on the battery door (which seems unnecessary honestly) and 2- I had to go buy a 2032 button battery before I could use it bcz it doesn’t come with one (my fault for not seeing that or I would’ve bought one when I ordered the remote).I would DEFINITELY buy this again or recommend to a friend.

Universal remote kit. Worked fine, and with fan switched to low allows for very low speed
I got this for my old ceiling fan so I could control it while resting. It works fine and I’m really pleased that it can work with the ceiling fan switched to low, so combined with the low on this unit the fan runs REALLY slowly, just generating a very slight breeze (and being very quiet).Unit is built decently. Wiring was straight forward. Unit has relays that click when changing speed and turning light off, so will work with any bulb type. Fan speed control uses a couple of capacitors internally, so it’s a pretty standard way to add speed control. Unit added NO extra hum or sound, and on low made the fan quieter (and slower of course).Measuring power with a current clamp, with the fan switched to high, the remote on high gave 0.289A, and 0.183A on low. With the fan switched to low, the remote on high gave 0.18A (so its low matches the fan’s low), and on low gave 0.11A. This is a good 40% slower than the fan’s low allowed. Of course having the fan on low means the remote can’t go higher than that. The fan’s speed setting lets you set the range of speed the remote can operate within.My only issue ie installation, since ceiling fans don’t have a place to put it. The receiver has no screw mounts, so it has to be wedged in the top (and padded so it doesn’t rattle).Remote operates well, though it’s HUGE. Takes a 9V battery. Direct speed control, and light toggle.

Perfect replacement and arrived in two days. The planets were aligned.
OMG. Our Hunter Ceiling Fan was acting weird and finally stopped working. I narrowed it down to either the receiver or transmitter. Didn’t have the knowledge to go beyond that, so took a picture of the receiver and Badda Bing, Badda Boom. There it was, received the transmitter and a battery and amazing was a small screw driver to take the cover off the transmitter to install the battery. It arrived in two days. Installed it and works perfectly..

The sensor fits inside the cap which sits flush to the ceiling. I had to get someone to place it. Once installed there were no issues and the new remote, which came with sensor, works perfectly. So good to have the fan working again

Add on remote control for ceiling fans
First, as I go to write this review, I notice the seller has changed the page from the add on remote control system to that of a variety of ceiling fans. This review is NOT for a ceiling fan. This is for a kit that adds a remote control to any ceiling fan/light.The remote control provides the ability to turn the light on/off and change the speed of the fan.The instructions seem to be straight forward. The receiver is placed between the power in and the fan/light. So you leave your light and fan on at the switch(es) and use the remote control instead.Unfortunately I haven’t been able to have this installed yet. But have someone coming over soon to do this. I will update the review afterwards.
