Big improvement over other mats
I recently purchased the sensu large yoga mat. I love it! I use it for yoga, stretching and general floor exercises. I haven’t even used the grippy corner pieces that come with the mat to keep it from sliding on the floor and it doesn’t slip. I use it on a wood floor and appreciate the greater 9 mm thickness which provides extra cushioning for my joints but is still stable and firm enough when I practice balance movements. It is so nice to have the extra room to maneuver on as I do my exercises. Highly recommend.

really non-slip — good shock absorption
I’ve been having a problem with my yoga mats recently that my hands and feet slip on them. This one is *really* non-slip. This has made a HUGE difference in how easy it is to do the postures.Also, it is noticeably more shock absorbent than my previous matsI really like that it is 4′ wide. As I’ve gotten less flexible with age, I’ve found that I need more space. This is particularly true with the “wheel” pose, where I have to space my feet farther apart than the width of more conventional mats.I did get a fairly good mat that was 6’x6′, but that’s really cumbersome in terms of the amount of floor space it takes up.This thing comes with non-slip corners. I haven’t tried those yet. It hasn’t seemed necessary.This also comes with a towel. The towel, curiously, is shaped like a narrow yoga mat. I haven’t used it yet. I might use it to put on top of the mat for naps — not sure.It’s really nice that there’s a carrying case as well. So far I haven’t carried it anywhere, but I certainly might.They’re asking for a durability rating. Well how am I supposed to know? I’ve only had the thing for a few days. Still, it seems solid, from what I can tell. The bottom is a different color from the top. I’m not sure what that’s about. I suppose eventually it might delaminate — but so far it seems good.

Worth it for your home work out space
I’ve had my Sensu large yoga mat for a couple weeks now and I love it! I am 6′ tall so it’s very nice to have a large area to safely practice my yoga without going off the mat or sliding around. The cushioning is great and the towel (which is very soft, especially after a wash) has come in handy as extra padding or a blanket when needed.Your order comes with card for bonus workout posters if you email Sensu to let them know how you like your mat. I got a very kind response to my message and look forward to receiving the posters as an extra tool for my workout kit :)I unrolled and aired the mat out overnight before using so that any smell went away quickly. The surface was a tiny bit slick at first so I’ve been wiping it down with yoga spray and a damp cloth after workouts and that seems to help.I’ve gone through a lot of cheap yoga mats in the past so it feels extra nice to have such an extra large quality mat. If you’re looking to expand your workout game at home and want a large mat that is nicely cushioned without being too thick and comes with lots of perks (a soft towel, a quality carrying bag, non slip corner grips, bonus posters), it’s worth checking out this mat!

Size matters
So far I am very pleased with my purchase. I’m a taller guy and hand placement has always been an issue on a regular sized yoga mat. There are no longer the issues of having hands or feet on the floor or half on the mat, everything is now in the right place with proper grip. The memory foam material is also good for comfort and stability, it allows me to find my poses easier. The towel is a nice touch also because I do find discomfort on my knees from time to time so the extra padding is helpful. I recommend this product to taller/longer individuals who want to freely move into poses without feeling like they are trapped inside a space they don’t fit. Everyone’s body is different and having this freedom to move is going to allow me to achieve greater flexibility.

Very comfortable mat that doesn’t move.
This is the best mat I’ve used for doing workouts at home. It’s wide enough to cover me (6’1″) whatever exercise I’m doing, whether standing or laying down.The mat comes with a set of stickies to put at the four corners to keep it from moving around, but this mat does NOT move, even having it on a hardwood floor. I also like the slightly better thickness (9mm) vs what most other mats use (7mm).Finally, at a discounted price of $99 (vs most usual prices for 4×6 mats of $120+), it was a great value for the price. Very happy with this purchase!

Excellent
If you’re looking for a comfortable, thick and big enough yoga mat, this is it! I’ve had it for a few weeks and I couldn’t be happier with it. I had been looking for a nice thick yoga mat for a while, until I came across this one. It was definitely the right choice.This is only a few of the many things I love about it:- it is non-toxic; because there are no strong smells coming out of it while trying to meditate or work out.- it is eco-friendly; because I care about my environmental footprint.- it is pretty stable as is, but finding the mat grips included in the packet was such a nice touch (so was the towel). I really wanted it to be non-slip on the top as well as the bottom.The quality is great and worth the price. I’m so happy with it, I even bought the exercise version for my best friend for her birthday!

Durable and perfectly big
This exercise mat is great! I wanted to use it a few weeks before I wrote this review and I’m very happy with this mat. I have trained with weights (carefully), bodyweight workouts and decompression. The mat has perfect thickness and allowes me to easily keep my balance and at the same time dampen the hardness from the ground. It is also very durable, our husky has ran over it a few times (while I was cleaning it, sigh) and not even a hint of a tear or any damage. I’m very happy with this mat.Oh, and the towel is so perfect for my dog after her baths! What a great bonus!

I received my new Sensu Large Yoga Mat a few days ago and WOW what a different experience it provided throughout my routine!No slipping, wide and long enough to ensure my body stays on the mat and arms and legs are not spilling over to the carpet. 👏The mat is so much thicker than I expected and that of a standard yoga mat but that extra thickness still provides really strong stability and stickiness.So glad I purchased it – I love it!!

I love my new Sensu Large Yoga Mat. I bought the 6′ x 4′ x 8mm size and it is perfect for type of yoga and stretching I do on the floor. It grips the floor very well and feels supportive for my feet and back. It also came with a hot yoga towel which is high quality.
