Fantastic Product, Easy to Learn, Loads of Useful Features
Mikego IDW25 watch is a very nice surprise, especially for the sale price. Its features are useful and even though I have only had the watch for three days, new software has come out that adds and improves its features.First off, it was packaged nicely and not over packaged like some other products. Materials seem to be quality and the charging cable, although short, is included. It connects via two magnets and does a nice job. Don’t lose it, though. Replacements are $8.The watch arrived at 98% charge and I topped it off at 100%. Three days later, it is down to 55% and I will likely wait until it is down to less that 20% before I recharge.Once the Veryfit app is downloaded and connected to the watch, the features become almost overwhelming. You can change the watch face, check your weather, get notifications of messages, track all kinds of health metrics, control your camera and music, and seemingly customize the watch endlessly. There is even a Watch Face Market where you can purchase some very nice faces.Control of the phone is done by tapping and swiping on the face and there is a button on one side. The button responds to short and long presses and the face responds to swipes up, down and side to side as well as short and long taps.The phone app is very informative and you can spend a lot of time learning all the features and how to use them. I’m sure it could be a process that could take days to begin to understand some of the features and functions.It is very easy to make and receive calls, kind of like having a remote control for your phone. You can see your call list, have 20 favorites and pretend you are Dick Tracy (you have to be old like me to understand that).With Alexa, you can set alarms, add items to shopping lists, run timers, check health stats and even control smart home devices.The watch seems pretty durable and I have even bumped the face a couple of times and have no marks, but I would recommend a face protector and those are around $8.Finally, this watch, and probably many others, have lots of features that come at a cost: some new faces are free but most cost $.99; sleep aid music is $.49 and I’m sure I will run into other things that will be offered for a charge. You also acquire credits for doing things on the watch and completing goals; items can be purchased with those credits at the Points Mall.Overall, I am very satisfied with this watch.
