The hardest part was squirreling the receiver into the fan’s mounting bell. Just 5 wires to connect (hint – on Hunter fans, the blue wire connects to the black wire with white stripe for the light).The app connected easily also. Not really necessary in my case, but it works.

Works as expected
Physical installation went as expected, no issues. I synced it with SmartHome with no issues. Synchronization with Alexa was frustrating. I finally asked Alexa for insight. Alexa described all of the procedures (which I had already done several times and finally asked me, “Do you want me to do it?”. Ummm … yeah! Several seconds later it was finished. I’ll have better recommendations after it’s been in operation for a while, but right now everything is responding correctly.

Do not buy unless you’re throwing a rave
Dimming function does not work, anything below 85 turns it into a disco light, but any setting results in the light constantly dimming and then brightening in an endless cycle. 0/10 functionality, 3/10 for being wifi connected and app accessible but still doesn’t solve anything.

Tried 3. This one WORKED!
All the wiring matched up with the existing for our Hunter pull chain ceiling fan and light. The included instructions have a QR code for a link to the app needed to connect to wifi and then smart devices (Amazon and Google). The physical remote does take a C2032 button battery, not included.

Unable to Connect to Alexa/SmartLife
I bought this unit to replace the remote/controller for my Hunter fan. As a dumb controller it works fine. But:No instructions were included in the package.Wires were clearly marked but labeled “L” and “N” instead of “Live” and “Neutral”. Why be unclear?Battery installation direction was not clear, nor was the battery size listed in the remote.The instructions for connecting the controller to the Tuya SmartLife app are confusing and do not work. If I can’t get that working I will be returning this item.
