Textured 3 dimensional artwork in large size on canvas
Given each piece is hand painted, I do notice the subtle distinction which only add to its unique value and authenticity. Opening the packaging the oil based pigments were clearly recognizable to me and, having spent many summers with my grandmother who did oil painting, were a very welcome expression of the real work that had gone into the piece. The back of the piece is also covered around the edge with felt so that it doesn’t stick to your walls and is important because the canvas edges are painted, too. That’s a very well thought out and considerate addition. I was impressed with the depth and richness of the gold pigment in particular. Given the piece is abstract, the aesthetics will be up to individual interpretation, but I believe the artist has expressed the meeting of two boundaries correctly.

!! FYI !! This is BLACK and Gold – there is NO BLUE!I thought when I ordered this painting it was only advertised as black and gold, but when I went to review it I noticed each option was listed as blue and gold. I don’t know if it was always listed as blue and gold? It is not blue at all. 100% black. So don’t get confused by the listing options.The gold on the painting is intense! It is VERY gold, very vibrant, very noticeable. To me it almost comes off a bit cheap or tacky. But it definitely looks exactly as it does in the listing photos so I didn’t expect it to look much different, I guess I just hoped it might look better or more natural or higher end in person.The texture throughout the painting is nice and I really like the dimension it provides. The texture definitely makes it look much nicer quality than if it were a flat, two dimensional painting.This could definitely look nice alongside gold accents. Like if you put this in a bathroom and your bathroom had gold faucets and door handles and cabinet pulls/knobs then this painting would look very cool and high end. If you can style it correctly, this can definitely be a nice piece of art in your home, office, business, etc.I took off a star because there are a few flaws on the painting, but only on the corners and edges, so no one would notice them. I only noticed because I examined it in great detail. There also was a bit of a smell from this painting, so some off-gassing…VOC’s. it was pretty minimal and could no longer smell it after a day.It comes with two hanging brackets already installed as well as nails or screws to hang it up and mount it on a wall. The cool thing about it is you can actually display an orient the photo one of four different ways – you might need to finagle the existing hooks on the back of the painting but having the ability to hang it vertically or horizontally is pretty cool.
