Thoughtful, Uplifting, and Perfect for Summer Reflection
I purchased the Big Life Journal – Second Edition for my 7-year-old son to work on during summer break, and it’s been an incredibly rewarding experience. Each day, we sit down together to complete a page or two, and it’s become one of our favorite daily routines. The prompts are well-crafted and age-appropriate, encouraging not just writing but real reflection, gratitude, creativity, and goal-setting—all in a fun, engaging format. It’s a great way to introduce growth mindset concepts at an early age and to build emotional awareness through gentle guidance. The quality of the book itself is excellent, and the illustrations are vibrant and inviting. For parents looking for a meaningful activity to share with their children, especially during school breaks, this journal is a fantastic choice. We absolutely love it.

    Builds confidence & creativity
Just what we have been looking for. A journal that helps build confidence and creativity. Plus, it’s a great bonding activity with your child. My son asks to sit down and do it! It’s been a struggle to get him to read or write but this is something he looks forward to once a week with me.

    great journal
My daughter has always struggled with confidence, so I’ve been looking for ways to help her build a more positive self-image. This journal has been an absolute game-changer for us. The combination of inspiring stories and thoughtful tasks has really made a difference. She reads the stories on her own, and it’s amazing to see how they resonate with her. Each story seems to spark a little more belief in herself, and as she completes the tasks, I can see her starting to realize her own strengths and capabilities. What I really love is that she works through the journal independently, at her own pace, which has been a huge boost to her self-esteem. The activities are simple but powerful, and they encourage reflection, goal-setting, and positive thinking, all of which have been so helpful in supporting her growth. It’s given her the opportunity to focus on her accomplishments, strengths, and the positive aspects of her personality, rather than her doubts. In addition to the more reflective tasks, the journal also includes fun activities like coloring pages, which she thoroughly enjoys. These pages provide a nice balance to the more serious tasks and give her a chance to unwind while still engaging with the journal’s themes. It’s been great for fostering creativity and relaxation, too.Overall, I am so grateful for this journal. It’s not only helping my daughter work through her confidence challenges, but it’s also become a positive and empowering routine that she looks forward to. I highly recommend it to anyone with a child who could use a little boost in confidence or who simply enjoys journaling as a way to express themselves.

  4. I know 😅

What a cute journal to fill out with your kids!
I bought this for my nine-year-old son‘s birthday and to help build his self-esteem and teach a growth mindset. Although we’ve only done the first nine pages or so.. I have already got to learn things about him that I didn’t know, when he was answering the questions. I even took on the scribe roll and let him just speak on it and be open. It’s a cute little book and a good keepsake also. The price was a little high compared to other options. But my kid is worth it! 😁

Great for my 8 year old son.
My kiddo is very smart, kind, funny and talented, but he has always struggled from a very early age with being too timid to try things he thinks are “too hard” and often gives up easily if things don’t come naturally. It affects his ability to try to learn new things at school and even his willingness to do sports and competitive activities in a group (although he thoroughly enjoys and excels at each of those things in the comfort of our own home). We’re only about 1/2 through the book so far but he really seems to enjoy it. I love how the reflection activities involve both the parent (or grandparent buddy, sibling etc) and the child, it really helps the kids to see examples of how adults also struggle and overcome things. He has really enjoyed the activities and stories so far.

Excellent for kids experiencing self doubt
I rarely write reviews, but had to for this journal. My 8 year old son is going through big emotions and self doubt. This journal has been excellent in helping us work through it. We fill out a couple pages each night and he’s enjoying it so much. It really has helped him recognize his virtues and feel better. Highly recommend for all kids.

Arrived beat up with a big pink 20% off sticker on the cover. It’s the kind of sticker that does not peel off. Scratches and dents.

This Life Jjournal for Kids is not just for kids! It is a fantastic parent tool to use to connect deeper with your child and help them discover themselves and what matters to them. The bonus is your child also gets to know you as a person if you choose to be the “buddy sharing”. This all happens in the course of 10 -20 minutes…oh…and you will have lots of fun!!

I am sorry. I don’t think this book is worth S$43, or S$44.1. Too thin,2. The contents are educational, to illicit responses from kids. The issue is it is not a content driven book like it’s written by a Professor for that kind of price.

It is so good that I will recommend this book /Journal to anybody![this review was written unprompted by my 8 year old. They loved working through it and it was well structured with the Journal Buddy idea and the stories. They have never felt inclined to write a review before, so this is high praise indeed.]
