I’ve been buying dymatize hydrowhey for years. I just really got sick of the flavors over time. I just couldn’t stomach another breakfast cereal flavor or chocolate fudge. I’ve had them all. I saw this and thought to myself “I make my own ice cream, why not this?”I mix a little loranne flavor oil, a little sucralose (from blue rhino, don’t get it from bulksupps) and it tastes amazing. For a perfect strawberry milk, hershey strawberry syrup(yes the full sugar kind, just don’t go ham with it), loranne strawberry, and a tiny bit of sugar free vanilla pudding mix. Now I can have whatever flavor I want without having to go through 5lbs of a flavor I’ve already got sick of.I was a competitive bodybuilder, and I had to drink 100g of protein shakes a day. It’s torture. I’m not competitive anymore but I still need to meet some macro goals to retain some muscle as I age. The cost of this is a bit better than a full 5lb tub of dymatize… Maybe? I didn’t do the math. I emptied this bag into an empty 2lb tub of dymatize and it was just about full to the top. Definitely more than dymatize gives you. I used the old scooper from an empty bottle and weighed it. Yep. 30g on the nose. Fully packed scoop though. Keep in mind 30g of whatever brand of protein is only going to be 25g of actual protein because of all the other stuff they put in, like flavorings. This stuff, though… It SHOULD be all protein. So 30g is 30g.I don’t know why people are complaining that the protein isn’t clear. Did the description say that at one point? I’ve NEVER had a clear protein you mix yourself. I don’t think it’s possible. Those clear proteins you get in the bottles at the sup stores… That some kind of chemical wizardry they’re doing.I didn’t send this in for testing or anything to prove this is hydrowhey, BUT I’ve seen enough of the stuff to know the difference between hydro and plain iso. This stuff has a fluffiness to it that tells me it’s the real deal.I also don’t trust supplement companies. They pack their supplements with crap to save a buck all the time. They keep getting caught but they just keep doing it. I’ve been a part of this industry a long time and I know the snakes that run these companies. I’d at least trust bulk supplements to give me a raw ingredient without putting something else in it to save a few bucks.

CLEAN PROTEIN! Eliminate the chemicals! Hydrolyzed so no stomach upset!
BEST HYDROLYZED PROTEIN OUT THERE! No stomach distress. Mix it with what you want! Control the chemicals you consume! Control your sweetener amounts, or use NONE! Add a bit of cocoa powder (sugarless baking cocoa powder) and you do not need sugar! or add some coconut extract, again no sugar needed! I will admit to using some agave in mine, but I have a sweet tooth.

ProsThis protein is unflavored, which is great because the milky vanilla/chocolate/strawberry flavors can become boring quite quickly. I love adding one of those Kool-Aid powder-packets used for water to provide a variety of flavor to my protein drinks.The hydrolyzed version is only slightly more expensive than the regular isolate, which is worth the price and won’t break the bank!The texture is smooth and doesn’t have that milky after-taste. It reminds me of the “clear” protein powders in that regard. It mixes easily with water and you won’t need to use one of those wire-ball things to keep the power from clumping.Cons (these are inconveniences, not deal-breakers)The package doesn’t seal very well. I would recommend transferring the powder into an empty Zip-Lock freezer bag (you might need two of those) or a large plastic food container.There is no plastic scoop. Instead, you either measure the power (30g per serving) using a food-scale, or use an old scooper from an empty protein tub. Alternatively, you can also use a measuring-spoon (the label states that 4 tablespoons is equal to one serving).It gets frothy, which is pretty common with isolates and hydrolyzed powders. Here is a work-around:1. In your shaker-bottle, add a small amount of water (like a 1/2 cup).2. Add your power.3. Add the rest of the water.5. If you’re using a Kool-Aid flavor-packet, add it now. Don’t add it early because it might not mix correctly with the power.6. Shake the cup to mix the power with the water.7. Set the shaker-bottle aside or place it in your refrigerator and wait 5 to 10 minutes. This will give the froth/foam enough time to settle.8. Drink. DO NOT shake the bottle before drinking, because this will cause the foam to return.9. When you’re finished, there might be some foam-residue left in the bottle. Just add a little more water to the bottle and lightly spin it to gather the last of the power before drinking.I found that the “sandwiching” method used in Steps 1-6 removes the problem of powers becoming clumped at the bottom of the bottle.

Great Protein But Save Yourself Some Money
This was my go to for years but they’ve raised prices significantly over the past year. I’d bet most of us go through a lot of protein powder and the cost adds up. I just switched to Nutricost’s unflavored whey protein isolate, which is about $0.50/oz cheaper and it is essentially the exact same product. Save yourself some money by getting that instead!

The protein content for the calories is amazing. There isn’t much of a taste which I love. It doesn’t always mix the best but sometimes you just have to let it settle. I put it in my orange juice and really don’t notice it. Very good quality products.
