Coffee stays hot.
These mugs keep my coffee hot for hours, perfect for long meetings. It can sometimes take me about 2 hours to finish a cup and the temperature holds up great! I initially bought 1 set, but our regular mugs weren’t cutting it, so I ordered another. My husband tried them and now uses daily, so I’m getting a third set to make sure we always have one available. The only downside: the color on the handle started to peel, but still reordered! (I ordered the blue and gray sets).

Great daily mug, love the look and angles
I love the shape of these cute little travel mugs! I chose them for the look and color. I am familiar with the Contigo brand from their water bottles and mugs often available at Costco. I appreciate the 2 pack, and meant for the second to be for a family member. But really, I have been the using it as my own spare.I use this mug almost daily for coffee to take to the office (and refill at the office). I found that I like the angle of the handles, as it is easy to hold–both while walking and to lift to drink. The lids slide open and closed with a little push; I like these lids for the ease of opening. “Splash-proof” is an accurate description for the lid. They are not “leak proof” like other vacuum sealed lids. If you tilt the mug at an angle, you could spill. I have spilled coffee in the elevator…These are not necessarily *commuter* mugs, since they don’t fit in standard car cup holders. I have a short commute, so I balance the mug precariously on my cupholder at an angle. To be honest, I have spilled coffee in my car cupholder a few times. I most enjoy using these mugs at my desk at work; the insulation and lid keep my coffee warm for longer periods of time. It is also easy to take with me to meetings and walk around town.I had a clear idea of the product I was purchasing at the time and I am satisfied with my purchase.

I really like this mug and I’m only giving 4 stars because it doesn’t fit in the car cup holders (base is too wide) so I have to hold it when I drive. Otherwise it does what I want which is keep my drinks warm.

Does What It Says
I don’t see 14oz Contigo’s often so I decided to get it for myself and my roommate. Easy to hold, I don’t burn my fat little fingers when I grip the handle and my knuckles touch the mug, and it stays pretty hot when closed. It’s also a pretty good hand warmer, won’t burn your hands and will heat you up. However, just putting the cap on and taking it off, you can feel it isn’t 100% leak proof.One day when I was coming home from work, I hit the brakes because a dear wandered into the road. I put my Contigo in the front passenger seat with the seat belt on because it doesn’t fit cup holders. It fell over (as seat belts are for people, not mugs) and my chai did leak out. However, for the ten seconds it was knocked over, the seat was damp but not soaked. But neither the title nor description claim it to be leak proof – only splash proof. And that is true. I’m also a hand talker kind of guy and with the lid on and closed, I could wave it around just fine. But if you buy Contigo a lot, you might accidentally assume it has the same shake potential as the other ones.
