Really made me see what a bite should look like
A little expensive, but they are heavy and well made. No risk of bent tines or a bent spoon. Much better bariatric tools than toddler silverware which are shorter handled but with much larger eating surfaces. You will still need a real steak knife because this knife only cuts the most tender or thin meats. I keep buying more sets because I hate washing them so often, hence my aversion to their cost. They have held up perfectly and now seem like what a normal flatware size should be. Compared to regular forks etc. they are tiny, but you learn you really don’t need to, and shouldn’t, shove that much food in your mouth at once. They help you to eat slower and more mindfully. Absolutely recommend. I also agree with others, get rid of the DIET TOOLS lettering on the silverware, very obvious and tacky.

This set is very nice. The finish looks good, and I haven’t had any black marks on my food, and there are no sharp edges, unlike some have reported. The pieces are sturdy and have a nicely balanced and “quality” feel. These are not what you get at a typical diner. In quality, they are comparable to my Mikasa set of cultery.The handles are long enough – longer than a typical children’s set, and the mouth size of the spoon is smaller than a typical children’s set. But not as small as an infant spoon. It does seem a bit odd eating with them. I am on my pre-surgery diet, so I am using them to get used to them.Some have complained about the writing on the handles. That is a bit funky, but it isn’t undesirable for me. In public, I doubt anyone would notice. When was the last time you closely examined your table-mate’s eating utensils? Only you can decide whether or not to use them in public. I will say this, my husband was unloading the dishwasher, and it was easy to tell these from the children’s sets we keep for our grandchildren to use. Plus, no goofy kiddy design.I didn’t take any stars off for this, since I don’t care, but the traveling container seems it wouldn’t be practical, unless you were able to wash the utensils before putting them into the case. I can see myself using it when I go to visit family or friends. For a restaurant, I definitely would use a zip-lock bag.

Nice set
I bought these just to have smaller silverware. They have helped a lot with slowing down on eating. They also make you feel like your eating a lot even when your not I have been using these for a couple weeks and have lost 10 pounds already combined with eating heater. They are very nice easy to wash I keep some at home and in my purse very portable. They looks nice. Very good quality.

Great diet utensils!
I debated about getting these for 2 months. I finally gave in. They are perfect. They are there size I needed, but don’t feel like you’re eating with baby spoon or fork. The knife will actually cut through meat, too. I may buy another set.

Quality Product, Highly Recommended for Gastric Surgery Patients
The utensils are very well made, sturdy and the edges are clean. no flash, burs or sharp lines that often accompany cheap utensils. They do say “DIET TOOL” on each uensil – but it is not horribly obvious and to me, it isn’t so bad to have a reminder that the whole reason you have a smaller spoon and fork is because you are learning new habits. The case is plastic and at first I disliked that, but it cleans up so easy and adds no bulk to storing the utensils. I put the case in an eye glass case and it travels great. The spook is the same size as a spoon intended for 1 year olds, roughly. The spoon depth is proportionate to the diameter of the spoon. The fork is great. Tongs are just a small er version of a regular fork. The knife is sharp. These are NOT toys. The handle is long enough to use the utensils easily.I really cannot recommend this product more.

Very well made. Nice carrying case. Easy to slip into purse if eating away from home. Long length easy to hold and just right for taking small bites. I don’t feel silly using them like if using baby utensils. A necessary set of tools for bariatric portion control. I highly recommend them.

Absolutely Perfect!
Nice and long so I don’t feel as if I’m eating with baby utensils. They have a very good weight to them. I was able to use a light weight wet sandpaper to remove the writing on the utensils. Are perfect for helping me portion control eating. A God send since I had my Bariactric surgery.

Product great, case not so much
I don’t want to lower my rating to 4 stars just because the vinyl case snap didn’t survive the first time it was opened.The flatware is EXCEPTIONAL quality so that is what I am basing my review on. The broken snap is minor to me but I wanted to mention it just in case it is important to someone else.The silverware is very heavy so you don’t have to worry about it bending or breaking. Other than the smaller size, you would think it came from a good quality set of stainless steel. Despite other reviewers saying it bothers them that the utensils say DIET TOOLS, it really isn’t noticeable unless you are looking for it. There is a little plastic sleeve for each of the 3 pieces and a paper telling you about the set and how it will help you lose weight.I am really impressed by the quality of this product and if the less than perfect case is not an issue, I highly recommend you get this set.

My set arrived with only the spoon which wasn’t much good and the seller hasn’t had anymore in stock since which is disappointing. The spoon itself though was a good size and finish.

I love the sturdiness and good quality of the cutlery. Each piece is solid and easy to handle. I was concerned about the price but the reviews were great so I took the plunge and purchased them. I’m soooo happy I did, they are worth every penny!
