It Makes a Significant Difference in Blender Sound Reduction!
I grew up hearing this loud blender crank up in the kitchen on mornings when my mother and father would be in a great mood and were going to start their day off with a fruit smoothie or something that required the blender. That noise was much LOUDER than the coffee maker or any other sounds coming from the kitchen and would typically wake me up, if I wasn’t already awake!Fast Forward to NOW -I’m on a fruit smoothie kick – and seeing and feeling the benefits. I’ve made it through over 18 days of this, and my previous blender is so LOUD that it is causing issues with the neighbors that share my walls and floors near the kitchen.Its just probably 2 minutes of the day that I’m using the blender, but the previous noise level of the other blender was such that it was TOO LOUD.I decided to try this blender based on the fact that it is supposed to be a quieter than the other models. It IS much quieter, but I will say – when you are adding and blending ice into your smoothie, that is STILL going to sound like ice being shredded. I’ve learned to add liquid to the line of the ice, and that cuts down on a lot of the sound of the ice shred, but you will still HEAR the ice being shredded, to some degree.This blender does a great job with most fruits that I have added, particularly since adding this to the ice and water level where about 1/2 the blender is the ice/water mixture – and I’m adding fruits into this mix. The percentage of noise level reduction is probably about 1/2 to 3/4ths the amount of the volume that I would hear with my previous blender. This makes a significant difference, enough to where I would definitely recommend this make and model – simply for the fact that this is not going to be as LOUD as the previous models without the noise reduction system.Adding frozen fruits, that is about the same sound as chopping ice – so if you are looking to lower the volume level, add these after you have chopped the ice and added a water line up to the ice level, that should help with the volume level.My other blender worked great, no problems – and was actually around the same price point as this one, but the noise reduction feature of this is definitely worth it.

Good, not great workhorse of a blender
It gives Ninja and Vitamix a run for their money. It doesn’t have the same strength so I wouldn’t try to make a baking dough. Just a heads up, although the description says it’s quiet, it is anything but. Last, the cyclone cup is not glass, it’s plastic. It wasn’t enough for me to send it back, but just know that if you’re trying to stay away from plastics.

Just one year of use, again!
I am really disappointed. I have always cared for my appliances and one day the blender just did not turn on (of course, the warranty had just expired). It is not the first time (actually the third) that I buy a B&D blender and it fails me shortly after or within two year of the warranty expiration. I only insisted this time because the last one lasted 5 years and I thought it was a good lifetime for daily use. I only use it to make fruit juice. No ice or any hard to blend items.

Cheap
It was quite LOUD! And you had to hold down the “cyclone glass” (actually basic plastic) container or it would bounce off mid blend…The motor still runs but the little scalloped center got stripped out so it doesn’t move the blades to blend anything now.Sadly it died in a year…

Definitely a quieter machine, though large, frozen fruit will still be rather noisy when making the first part of a smoothie. There is a”smoothie” function that works very well, as well as a couple of others that I’ve yet to try. The base is heavy and solid, making tipping highly unlikely. The jar is made of heavy glass and the machine seems very well constructed overall. I’ve used this for making the ubiquitous smoothie, but also for summer soups like gazpacho, whipping updater and today, I used the blender to chop up onions and carrots for pea soup! I added water to the blender, then quarter onions and then baby carrots instead of doing this by hand and emptied the contents into the slow cooker with split peas for a great soup. For me, an efficient and hard-working blender such as this excellent one is a staple in the kitchen. I highly recommend this unit.

Esta licuadora es muy buena, los accesorios y todo en general es de buena calidad, muele de todo y si batallas con algo solo presiona el boton “pulse/stop” y luego licua con la velocidad que necesitas. Me pareció tan buena que regale una similar a mi mamá.El único pero que también noté con la licuadora de mi mamá es que se pierden la tapitas. Hay que quitarlas para lavar bien la tapa porque tiene mucho “rinconcitos” donde se guarda la comida, entonces en mi caso y en el de mi mamá se nos perdieron las tapitas, pero considero que eso es más descuido personal, solo lo comento para que lo tomen en cuenta. Pero recomiendo 100% está licuadora, yo quería una ninja pero esta no le pide nada, está a mejor precio y además sus refacciones son más fáciles de conseguir en cualquier ferretería. Aún no he necesitado pero es algo que considere al cómprala.
